Italian translation can be particularly useful, given the fact that Italian shares 85 percent of its lexicon with Spanish and French. Modern Italian originally came into existence around the 13th or 14th century. The great writers Dante and Petrarch helped to popularize the Florentine variation, which evolved into the Italian that we know today. The roots of Italian are, of course, in Latin.
